RESOURCES

Marine Grade Anti-Seize

Nonmetallic Anti-Seize & Thread Lubricant

DESCRIPTION

A non-conductive, non-metallic blend of anti-friction materials specially formulated to meet the new requirements for marine and offshore environments. MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE falls within the range of environmentally preferable lubricants for use as a best management practice (BMP) by operators of vessels covered under the Vessel General Permit for Discharges Incidental to the Normal Operation of Vessels (VGP). It meets the requirements for environmentally acceptable lubricant (EAL) as used to describe those lubricants which have been demonstrated to meet standards for biodegradability, toxicity and bioaccumulation potential that minimize their likely adverse consequences in the aquatic environment when compared to conventional lubricants. MARINE GRADE ANTI-SEIZE is specifically selected to reduce the potential for galvanic corrosion and protect sensitive or galling prone alloys such as chrome and Inconel. These fill the voids and imperfections on the surface shielding sliding components of interference making assembly and disassembly easy without damage to the nut or bolt.
